AIMS
The Bronchial Boogie project provides asthma
education, breathing exercises and wind
instrument tuition. It is aimed at improving
respiratory health and raising self-esteem in
asthmatic children 7 – 11 years of age.


OBJECTIVES
To bring young asthmatics together for
support and education in asthma
management.

Improve symptom control and peak flow
monitoring in asthmatic children, which
will encourage self-management and
improve compliance.

To develop a therapy to help children’s
breathing and asthma control through
playing of wind/brass instruments.

Raise the children’s self esteem and
boost confidence.

To educate children, parents and carers
in asthma care.
